Stop and Search Independent Scrutiny Panel

The Stop and Search Scrutiny Panel has been established to consider the way that Lancashire Constabulary use stop and search to ensure it is being used in an appropriate manner.

Joint Audit and Ethics Committee

The Joint Audit and Ethics Committee is responsible for enhancing public trust and confidence in the governance, financial reporting and financial performance of the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) and of the Chief Constable of Lancashire Constabulary (CC).

Joint Audit Committee

The Joint Audit Committee provides both the Constabulary and my office independent assurances on the adequacy of internal control, financial management and reporting, risk management as well as anti-fraud and corruption arrangements.

HMICFRS Reports and Responses

Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabularies and Fire & Rescue Service (HMICFRS) are commissioned by the Home Secretary to undertake inspections of police forces and fire and rescue services.

Accountability Board meetings

The Police and Crime Commissioner is responsible for holding the Chief Constable to account to ensure that the Constabulary support the delivery of the priorities detailed in the Police and Crime Plan and to meet all their statutory duties.

Joint Management Board

The Joint Management Board will consider and determine matters relating to strategic direction, policy issues and medium/long term planning.
