Community Scrutiny Panels

Community Scrutiny Panels offer an opportunity for members of the public to review police interactions with the public.

The Commissioner has established a number of scrutiny panels, including the Stop and Search, Use of Force and Continuous Improvement Panel and the Custody Detention Scrutiny Panel. The Commissioner has also established a number of joint advisory committees with Lancashire Constabulary. Members of the Committees bring a wealth of professional expertise and experience, providing advice and recommendations to the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) and Chief Constable (CC) on policy and practice.

As the voice of policing in Lancashire, the Commissioner facilitates a number of panels and committees covering different areas of policing and governance.
