Grants of up to £5,000 are available for initiatives that focus on prevention, survivor support, and creating safer communities. Eligible projects may include educational campaigns, early intervention efforts, support survivors, or programs that work with perpetrators to change harmful behaviours.
Applications are open from Monday, 30th June to 21st July, and are welcomed from charities, voluntary and community groups, as well as parish and town councils.
This latest funding round follows one launched in May, focused on tackling anti-social behaviour through diversionary activity and community projects. Further rounds are set to follow, supporting business crime initiatives and reducing reoffending.
All projects are being funded with proceeds of crime, where cash seized from offenders is used to make Lancashire safer.
Clive Grunshaw, Police and Crime Commissioner for Lancashire said:
“Preventing violence against women and girls is a Police and Crime Plan priority and I’m pleased to continue working with local organisations to help achieve this.
“This fund is part of the broader strategy to reduce victimisation and increase positive outcomes. With a focus on key policing priorities throughout the year—starting with this initiative and building on work tackling anti-social behaviour—I’m trying to ensure that public funds deliver real impact where it’s needed most.
“Investing in targeted projects across Lancashire empowers local organisations, strengthens public trust, and contributes to safer communities. As Commissioner, delivering this impact is my highest priority, and it can only be achieved through strong leadership and tough scrutiny.”
