The survey, which has been open since July 2024, is designed to inform the priorities in the Commissioner’s Police and Crime Plan which he will publish later this year.
The plan is a strategic document which sets the direction for Lancashire Constabulary and establishes a framework, against which the Commissioner holds the Chief Constable to account.
Commissioner Grunshaw, said: “I’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone in Lancashire who has taken the time to respond to my survey and shared it with family, friends or colleagues. More than 5,000 residents have already shared their views.
“As the public’s voice in policing I want to make sure that the priorities I set for policing in Lancashire reflect the views of residents, and I will hold the Chief Constable to account for delivering against each one.
“If you haven’t already, I would urge all residents to take the time to tell me their views through the survey. Help me form the strategic direction for policing in Lancashire to reflect the issues that matter most to you.”
The online survey can be accessed here – https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Lancashire-PCC-Survey
Paper copies or alternative formats of the survey can be requested by contacting the Commissioner’s Office.
The new Police and Crime Plan for Lancashire will be published by the end of 2024 and will run to 2029.
