The latest round of the Commissioner’s Community Fund will support a wide range of initiatives delivered by local charities, community groups, councils and partners. Projects focus on key priorities within the Police and Crime Plan, including youth diversion, tackling anti-social behaviour, and preventing violence against women and girls (VAWG).
Schemes funded in this round include targeted summer diversionary programmes for young people, community safety initiatives, and specialist support and awareness projects designed to reduce harm and build stronger, safer neighbourhoods.
A number of projects will provide safe, positive activities for young people during peak periods of risk, particularly over the summer months, helping to steer them away from crime and anti-social behaviour. Others focus on raising awareness of domestic abuse, supporting victims, and challenging harmful behaviours to prevent violence against women and girls.
Community-led initiatives funded in this round include sports and mentoring programmes, youth hubs, outreach work, creative and digital engagement projects, and campaigns to improve online and community safety. Several schemes will also strengthen relationships between communities and local policing teams, helping to build trust and confidence.
The investment also includes partnership funding through Community Safety Partnerships and local MPs, recognising the important role of local leadership in identifying and addressing neighbourhood issues.

“Policing alone cannot solve these challenges. It’s through strong partnerships, local knowledge, and early intervention that we can build safer communities and reduce crime in the long term.
