Over the past twelve months, the team, which is based at Chorley Police Station, has provided vital care, reassurance, and practical support at a time when people needed it most.
Since launching, Victim Care Lancashire has worked closely with individuals affected by a wide range of offences, including burglary, fraud, harassment, and violent crime. The service offers:
- Timely, personalised support to help victims feel safe, informed, and in control.
- Close collaboration with internal policing teams and external partners.
- A strong commitment to amplifying the victim’s voice, ensuring their needs remain at the centre of the process.
The team’s trauma‑informed approach ensures that every conversation and every intervention is rooted in compassion, respect, and empowerment.
Over the last year, Victim Care Lancashire has also been proactive in raising awareness of the support available. The team attended key events, including three Pride festivals across the county and a Hate Crime awareness event at Guild Lodge, strengthening ties with communities and ensuring victims know where to turn for help.
In September last year, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, who is the patron of the Restorative Justice Council, visited Hutton HQ to officially launch Victim Care Lancashire and hear from some of the victims who have been supported by the service.
