Police and Crime Commissioner funds Lancashire Apprentice Expo 2017

14 March, 2017

Thousands of students are expected to pass through the doors of Preston Guild Hall today to join Lancashire’s most well-known employers.

Lancashire Police and the OPCC will be exhibiting alongside a wide range of industries from manufacturing to nursing.

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner has part funded this event and is keen for youngsters to take a path into policing.

Clive Grunshaw and his office apprentices Cordelia Bartlett and Shannon Byrom

Clive Grunshaw’s office currently employs two apprentices to help with the daily duties and general running of the office.

He said: “Apprenticeships are a fantastic opportunity for those who want to take an alternative path into policing and we currently have two apprentices in office who support the various departments from media and communications to executive support.  I am proud to be funding this exhibition.”

Apprenticeships give you the chance to earn a wage, gain a qualification and benefit from important industry experience to kick-start your career.

The event runs from 12 – 7pm today.
