Op Centurion Success Stories

In May, Blackpool Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted joint patrols with partners to address anti-social behaviour (ASB) in Blackpool Town Centre.

Police Officers were joined by colleagues from Lancashire’s Mounted Branch and representatives from Blackpool Council, housing and homeless outreach teams and Blackpool Business Improvement District (BID).

Teams conducted high visibility patrols across Blackpool, balancing engagement, safeguarding, and enforcement, in areas with high reports of ASB and criminal activity.

About 100 electric motorbikes, throttle bikes and scooters have been seized by police in Lancashire at the start of the summer holidays.

The clampdown was part of a Lancashire Police operation on anti-social behaviour in Blackpool and Preston, which are among the areas with the highest number of reports of vehicle nuisance.
