Lancashire Reducing Reoffending

This fund is currently closed to new applications

The Commissioner recognises that the criminal justice system is about more than just punishing those who break the law but also providing the opportunities and support to ensure that they do not reoffend having been through the system.

Policing alone cannot prevent people from reoffending but it is recognised that when this happens, it creates additional demand on the service that could be reduced or prevented. Building on the work already undertaken by partners within Lancashire, four local ‘Reducing Reoffending Boards’ – covering the North, East, South and West of the county- will play a key role in identifying local priorities and actions to bring reoffending rates down.
