Recruitment for the key contractor begins after delays, notably due to the COVID pandemic
The chosen constructor Willmott Dixon began work on-site. Progress was marked by an official visit from the Lancashire Police and Crime Commissioner and Lancashire Constabulary’s Chief Constable.
The Construction phase (RIBA Stage 5) officially commenced, with significant site preparations, including hoarding installation and site clearance. Foundations and drainage works are planned in the next phase.
Continued development of the new Pendle Police Station at Carr Road, with a focus on completing structural works, equipping the facility with modern technology and preparing it for operational use.
The Pendle Police Station is expected to become operational, hosting various policing teams and public front counter, fulfilling the commitment to maintain accessible police services in the community.
